Science

Our science curriculum is designed to give pupils the key knowledge and skills they need for future learning and adult life. It provides a strong foundation, enabling every child to grow in confidence, develop a love of learning and be fully prepared for the next stage of their education. We do this by delivering learning in purposeful, one-week adventure blocks that immerse children in enquiry, exploration and discovery. Each adventure is carefully crafted to ignite curiosity, encourage questioning and develop a deeper understanding of biology, chemistry and physics, while making meaningful links to the world around them. Our curriculum is purposely adapted to help pupils with SEND access core knowledge and skills, ensuring that every child can participate fully and achieve success. Through hands-on investigations, problem-solving and critical thinking, children develop resilience and confidence as young scientists, building knowledge that is both progressive and relevant to their lives.
