Through the teaching of Jesus, and by his example, God makes it possible for us to ‘love’, ‘adventure’ and ‘grow’. Our Christian ethos and adventure curriculum at Holy Trinity will ignite the children’s love for learning and exploring their faith. We will inspire each and every one of our school family to flourish and embrace the diversity and challenges of life.

Matthew 19:26  (NIV) 26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

‘We love, we adventure, we grow’

Operation Christmas Shoebox Appeal

This year, in the lead up to Christmas, our school community have been supporting the wonderful work of Operation Christmas. Our children and families have shown wonderful generosity by donating thoughtfully filled shoeboxes, each one prepared to bring joy to a child this Christmas time. Our pupils have seen how small acts of kindness can make a big difference and their enthusiasm has been truly uplifting.

Remembrance Prayer Tree

As part of our Remembrance activities, the children wrote their own prayers and reflections. Some of these have been lovingly placed on our Prayer Tree as a sign of hope and remembrance.

Y6 CD- Creation Adventure

We have been learning about The Creation Story. After reading the story of Genesis from the Bible, we explored how some Christians believe that science and faith can work together. We also reflected on and questioned the Christian belief in God as Creator.

In art, we created our own interpretations of each day of the Creation Story through painting. We then linked this to our British Values learning by holding a class vote to choose our favourite artwork to display in our classroom.

SIAMS Inspection - October 2022

SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school's Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish. Church schools will employ a variety of strategies and styles appropriate to, and reflective of, their particular context in order to be distinctively and effectively Christian in their character and ethos. SIAMS inspectors therefore do not look for a set template of what a Church school should be like, but rather take the particular context of the school into account and base their evaluation on the outcomes rather than the process.

1 Corinthians 13:4-7 4

4 Love is patient, is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonour others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps records of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Joshua 1:9

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with your wherever you go.

Ecclesiastes 9:10

Whatever your hand finds to do,

Don't try to be perfect just try to be better than you were yesterday!

At Holy Trinity it is essential that Christian Ethos is a living breathing entity from the moment our children enter the school grounds to the moment they leave. By ensuring that they are provided with a constant daily exposure, we know that the grounding and foundation children are provided for at school will ensure that this will travel with them throughout their lives beyond Holy Trinity.
